About Us
Survivor Led Engagement
“Society needs to shift its view of prostitution. Prostitution and pimping have become glamorized. We need to stop blaming victims or questioning ‘how did you get yourself into that?” Andrea, Survivor and Advocate A survivor’s recovery is a personal journey that requires strength, hope, and perseverance, in addition to comprehensive treatment and restorative care. At the same time, it is important for survivors to find their voice, gather courage and participate in forums or meetings aimed to shape policy and programmes to end prostitution, sex trafficking and other forms of sexual exploitation. At PSGR, our goal is to support, create safe spaces and encourage them along that journey.

An effective response to human trafficking and prostitution includes services that are both victim-centered and survivor-led. The term victim-centered refers to an approach to practice that focuses on the needs of the victim rather than the roles, expectations, or desires of the individual and/or organization’s intervening. PSGR provides safe spaces where survivors can come to access couseling, build each other’s confidence, and more importantly, empower them to find their voices so they can effectively participate and move survivor-led agenda on discussion tables. Please join us to build the next generation of activists who will be able to influence policy development which can trigger reforms in laws and programming.
